District Advisory Committee Summary (DAC)

Membership: Consisting of two or more teachers and/or staff members (with representation from both the elementary and secondary programs), four or more parents, one or more students, and community members. The Executive and Program Directors and Curriculum Accountability Coordinator will be considered members by position.

Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

  • Analyze and develop recommendations, in collaboration with Administration and the other committees of the Board, for ongoing school improvement
  • Makes recommendations concerning rigorous academic standards, student achievement goals, district assessments, and program evaluations
  • Work with Administration and other committees to request funds as needed to support school improvement
  • Utilize SIT (School Improvement Taskforce fka CSI) to implement annual stakeholder surveys, review the annual report, monitor AdvancEd accreditation process, and assist with the authorizer review process

 Note: This committee was formerly known as Committee for School Improvement / District Advisory Committee or CSI/DAC, now CSI is known as SIT.
