PACT School Board Selects Superintendent of Schools

The PACT Charter School Board of Directors has selected Dr. Nathan Flansburg as Superintendent of Schools, starting on July 1, 2024.

A proven leader in K-12 education with experience in two of Minnesota’s highest-performing school districts, Flansburg currently serves as the Associate Superintendent of Wayzata Public Schools. His career in education began in the Mounds View School District, where he taught elementary and middle school. He then advanced to serving as principal in multiple schools within the district. 

With an emphasis on developing and guiding organizational school system change, Flansburg develops and engages teachers by cultivating positive work environments that support teacher growth and retention. He is skilled in establishing priorities and has strong relational skills focused on trust that meets the needs of students, staff, and the community. He is dedicated to creating an educational framework that allows all staff to perform at their highest levels by building relationships and partnerships. Experienced in designing systems and structures to develop vision-driven schools and producing high academic results, he is committed to developing principals, teachers, and district staff to become leaders who positively impact the school system, resulting in increased student achievement and results. He has a proven track record of developing and implementing financial and instructional structures that led to turning around fiscally challenged schools. As a former PACT parent, Flansburg served as School Board Chair and has deep ties to PACT’s community and mission. 

Flansburg shared, “I am thrilled and grateful to begin my new role as the Superintendent of Schools for PACT, the same educational system that had an amazing and positive influence on my own children during their formative years. I firmly believe the unique partnership that exists between parents, students, and teachers serves as the cornerstone for students’ achievements across all of their future endeavors. With a steadfast commitment to collaboration and excellence, I am eager to lead our educational community toward even greater achievements in the coming years.”

Flansburg graduated from Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota, earning his undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate of education degrees. He received his K-12 Administrative Licensure from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
