The Whistleblower Policy (refer to the Minnesota Statute section §181.932) is intended to create an ethical and open work environment and to ensure that PACT Charter School has a governance and accountability structure that supports its mission. It is also intended to encourage and enable the PACT Charter School board of directors, officers, employees and volunteers of PACT Charter School to raise serious concerns about the occurrence of illegal or unethical actions within PACT Charter School before turning to outside parties for resolution. If any stakeholder reasonably believes that some policy, practice, or activity of PACT Charter School is in violation of the law, a written complaint must be filed by that stakeholder with the School Executive Director or a School Board Representative.

It is the intent of PACT Charter School to adhere to all laws and regulations that apply to PACT Charter School. The underlying purpose of this policy is to support PACT Charter School’s goal of legal compliance. The support of all stakeholders is necessary for achieving compliance with various laws and regulations. An employee is protected from retaliation only if the employee brings the alleged unlawful activity, policy, or practice to the attention of PACT Charter School and provides PACT Charter School with a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct the alleged unlawful activity. These protections are only available to employees that comply with this requirement.
