How to Nominate Candidates:

 

Election Schedule:

January 1, 2019 - Nomination information published in the PACT Pilot newsletter and on the PACT website

January 2019 - The Nomination Team meets to identify potential candidates for nomination and contacts them to determine interest

January 31, 2019 - Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. * If more candidates are needed the Nominating Team will call on potential candidates

February 7, 2019 - Nominees are presented to and confirmed by the PACT School Board

March 1, 2019 - Candidates are introduced in the PACT Pilot E-newsletter and on the PACT website

March 7, 2019 - Election Ballot is approved by the PACT School Board

April 1, 2019 - Sample Ballot published in the PACT Pilot E-Newsletter and on the PACT website

April 19, 2019 - Online Election Voting opens

April 23, 2019 - Online Election Voting ends

April 24, 2019 - Election Judges convene to certify election results

April 26, 2019 - Candidates are notified of results

May 2, 2019 - Election results are approved and certified by the School Board

May 3, 2019 - Election results published on the PACT website

May 2019 Meetings - Newly elected members attend meeting as “Members in Training” (5/2 BRD; 5/23 PRS and BFC)

June 2019 Meetings - Newly elected members inducted and assume office (6/6 BRD; 6/20 PRS and BFC)

June 1, 2019 - Election results published in the June edition of the PACT Pilot newsletter and on the PACT website

 

Open Positions on Elected Committees

School Board

Membership: 3 elected parents, 5 elected teachers (2 Elementary grades K-6; 2 Secondary grades 7-12; 1 at-large any grades K-12), 1 elected Treasurer and 1 elected community member. The Executive Director is an ex-officio non-voting member.

Qualifications: Parent nominees must be a parent/guardian of student/(s) enrolled at PACT for at least one year; teacher nominees must have taught at PACT for at least one year; treasurer nominees may be a parent, teacher or someone unaffiliated with PACT and have no minimum time requirement at PACT; community nominees cannot have a current connection to PACT or a connection within the last year; the Executive Director is an ex-officio member by position.

Members whose term expires: All current members.

Returning members: All members are running to allow the School Board membership to get onto a 3-year term rotation.

Positions open for the 2019-2020 School year: 3 elected parents, 5 elected teachers (2 Elementary grades K-6; 2 Secondary grades 7-12; 1 at-large any grades K-12), 1 elected treasurer and 1 elected community member.

 

Budget and Finance Committee

Membership: 6 elected parents; Board Treasurer (once elected as a Board member); and the Executive Director is an ex-officio and serves as an advisor.

Qualifications: Parent/Guardian of student/(s) currently enrolled at PACT Charter School.

Members whose term expires: Dennis Jamison and Daryl Grams

Returning members: Christina Kent

Positions open for 2019-2020 School Year: Five parents for two-year terms.
