Anticipated Announcement by the MDE

July 28, 2020

On Thursday, July 30, the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and Governor Walz plan to announce the state’s strategy to educate students and keep communities healthy for the 2020-2021 school year. This announcement is expected to include if Minnesota schools will start this fall with in-person learning, distance learning, or a hybrid of both. PACT has no advance information on what will be announced.

Assuming the announcement from the state happens on July 30, we will communicate with all stakeholders on Friday, July 31, via email, social media, and the website. We will relay the decision made by MDE, how it impacts PACT, and provide a communication timeline. The timeline will include when you will hear about class lists, school supplies, health and wellness, family options, community events, and plans and procedures.

We know you are eager to start planning for fall -- we are, too! Thank you for your patience while we work through the details as quickly as possible.
