PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to provide agenda requirements so that agendas for the committees of the PACT School Board of Directors meetings will be consistent, comprehensive, and timely.

POLICY STATEMENT

Committees of the PACT School Board of Directors must have agendas that follow defined requirements. This practice intends to promote communication and informed discussion between the PACT School Board of Directors, Committees of the School Board, parents, teachers, students, and other stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Creation of an agenda template shall be the duty of the Board Clerk.
2. It shall be the standard practice of the Committees of the School Board to publish their agenda at least two calendar days before their meeting date. The agenda must be shared with the Lead Committee Clerk by 2 p.m. three calendar days prior to the meeting.
3. Agenda items requiring a recommendation vote will be indicated. 
4. Items requiring a recommendation vote need a minimum of two calendar days between origination and final vote by the committee to enable all members and affected parties adequate time to review the proposal. 
5. Only by unanimous vote can the committee of the Board waive this process for any new business they deem necessary. Likewise, discussion during the committee meeting may result in a decision to postpone the actual recommendation and vote on the agenda item.
