NHS Tutoring Program
The National Honor Society is excited to be offering a tutoring program this year for all grades at PACT. We are offering tutors for any subject that your student may be struggling with. Tutoring sessions may be held online via Google Meet or in-person so you can easily fit them into your student's schedule. Please note that except for the tutors themselves, other students will not have access to the names of those being assisted. Contact Ms. Aas, our NHS Advisor, at m.aas@pactcharter.org if your student is in need of tutoring services or has any questions about the program!
How to Apply
We are currently accepting applications for the PACT National Honor Society (NHS).
Membership is both an honor and a responsibility. As a member, you are expected to maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher, attend scheduled meetings, participate in group service projects, and complete individual service hours.
To be considered for membership, complete the application and submit it by Monday, March 7. You MUST use your PACT email address when completing the form. You will be contacted with a decision by Friday, March 11.
Questions? Contact Ms. Aas, the PACT NHS/NJHS Advisor, at m.aas@pactcharter.org or stop in the Library Media Center before or after school.
Membership
Membership in the PACT National Honor Society (NHS) is both an honor and a responsibility. It is an honor to be chosen for membership and recognizes your service, citizenship, leadership, and character in addition to your academic excellence. As a member, you would agree to fulfill the responsibilities listed below and to maintain the highest standard of conduct in our school community. You will be looked upon as a student leader by school staff and your peers. In essence, you, along with your fellow members, would be expected to “create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and to encourage the development of character in students of PACT Charter School,” which is the object of this organization.
Responsibilities: As a member of the PACT NHS, you will be expected to maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher, attend at least 75% of scheduled meetings with no unexcused absences, attend at least one group service project per semester, and complete a minimum of 20 individual service hours per school year. Members must also pay $20 in annual dues.
Meetings: 2nd and 4th Mondays during the school year.
