Communication Protocols

Emergency & Weather

PACT Charter School will post information about school closings or delays through a variety of communication methods.

Please do not telephone the school as the phone lines will be otherwise occupied.

Welcome Email

New families will receive an email from the Technology Department the week after enrollment is confirmed. This email will provide families with their online user credentials to access the PACT website, JMC, Moodle, and the eStore. It is important to provide a current email address that is checked often. New families that will be attending PACT the following school year after the lottery, will receive an email in the summer. If you don't see an email, please check your spam/junk mail before calling the school office.

PACT Website

The PACT website is the core of our communication plan and includes calendars, news, events, policies, and more! It is your go-to for everything PACT. When you login you will see much more detail and many non-public items.

Teacher Briefs

Elementary classroom teachers may communicate to parents with a weekly email that highlights classroom-specific information, including the week’s assignments. Secondary teachers use email to communicate course information as needed.

Program Highlight Emails

Emailed on Fridays, our Elementary and Secondary Program Directors send out announcements regarding the upcoming week. They include calendar dates, deadlines and important reminders.

PACT Pilot Newsletter

The PACT Pilot newsletter is published on the first day of the month (August thru June), and includes news and updates about that month’s happenings. The newsletter is opt-in via the PACT Communication Google Group. To subscribe, send an email to PACT-communication+subscribe@googlegroups.com

Social Media

PACT is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram -- “like” or “follow” us! Many groups at PACT also have their own Facebook page and you are encouraged to join your class page (organized by high school graduation year) or one of the team pages.

Moodle

Each teacher has a classroom Moodle page which lists specific assignments and resources. These web pages are accessible by signing in with a parent login (provided by the school). Students in grades 5-12 have their own login access.

JMC Gradebook

JMC is the place to go for information regarding student schedules, registration, grades, progress reports, etc. You can also set alerts to report missing assignments or grades so the system will send you an email. Students in grades 5-12 have their own login access.

Committee Information

Committee meeting agendas and minutes are posted online under About Us > Governance > Committees > Agendas or Minutes. If you would like committee agendas and minutes emailed to you, subscribe by sending an email to PACT-CommitteeInformation+subscribe@googlegroups.com
