Family Partnership Through Volunteering
At PACT, we believe that education is most powerful when staff and families work together. Our unique model invites parents to play an active role in their child’s education, and the results speak for themselves. Research consistently shows that parental involvement boosts student achievement, fosters positive self-esteem, improves behavior, and leads to better attendance and higher graduation rates.
To support this partnership, each PACT family is asked to volunteer at least four hours per month, or 36 hours per school year.
Are you unsure about how to get involved or what fits your schedule?
Contact our volunteer coordinator to discover an opportunity that works for you!

- Join the PTO or Booster Club
- And much more!
Volunteer Resources
To ensure safety for students and staff, PACT Charter School requires background checks for all volunteers. Volunteer background checks must be completed for anyone entering the school to provide a service, such as shelving or checking out books in the media center, running the book fair, reading to students, assisting a classroom teacher, or participating in field trips. Background checks are not necessary for activities outside of the regular school day, such as having lunch with your child or attending concerts or performances.
Background checks are valid for a period of three years. To get started, complete the request form below.
Your involvement and support are much appreciated and enhance the educational experience of all students. If you volunteer during the school day and interact with students, annual training is required so we can maintain consistency.
To ensure a safe, respectful, and effective environment for students and staff, all volunteers are expected to follow these guidelines:
- Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 years or older to serve during the school day.
- Background Checks: A current background check must be on file with PACT Charter School. Background checks are valid for three years.
- Volunteer Training: All volunteers must review the Volunteer Training before beginning service.
- Check-In Procedure: Volunteers must sign in and out at the main office and wear a visitor name tag while on campus.
- Attendance Courtesy: If you're unable to volunteer at your scheduled time, please notify the teacher you are assisting or the Community Education Coordinator as early as possible.
- Compliance with Training: Volunteers are expected to follow all policies outlined in the Volunteer Training slides. Failure to comply may result in removal from volunteer opportunities.
- Food Service Volunteers: Those assisting in the lunchroom must follow our food service sanitation and dress code policies.
- Committee Service: Volunteers who serve on a committee must adhere to the Committee Code of Conduct.
To help us track and celebrate your impact, all volunteers are responsible for logging their hours in ParentSquare.

Thank you for partnering with us—every hour makes a difference!
Your donations can go towards your volunteer hours! For every $10 you donate to PACT, you'll get credit for one hour of volunteer time. A one-time $360 donation can cover your volunteer hours for an entire year.
How we use your donation:
The funds we receive are utilized in the following ways to build the volunteer program:
- Program Expansion: Use the funds to expand the scope or reach of volunteer programs, allowing for more extensive community engagement or the establishment of new initiatives.
- Supplies and Resources: Purchase necessary supplies, equipment, or materials needed to support volunteer activities or enhance the volunteer experience.
- Recognition and Appreciation: Allocate funds to volunteer recognition events, awards, or incentives to acknowledge and appreciate volunteers' efforts and encourage continued participation.
- Administrative Costs: Cover administrative expenses associated with managing volunteer programs, such as recruitment, background checks, and coordination efforts.
- Infrastructure Improvements: Invest in infrastructure improvements that facilitate volunteer activities, such as technology for tracking.
