Cecily Fager ’23 did two amazing things on June 10. First, she became the newly crowned Minnesota State Pole Vault Champion. But she also became PACT’s first state champion in any sport since PACT first opened its doors 28 years ago.
As part of the Legacy Christian Academy / PACT Charter School co-op team, Fager has posted high scores in the pole vault all season, beating both school records and continued personal bests. She posted an 11’3″ vault in the state finals and beat her competitors by three inches. Fager was also part of the 4×400 relay at the state championships. The team, comprised of Fager, Erica Padilla, Addisyn Kimmel, and Reanna Cruz, placed eighth in the finals.
In addition to her state award, Fager received the Hardest Female Worker Award from her team, an All-Conference Award, and multiple record-breaking awards.
Off the track, Fager serves on the student council, is an Anoka High School varsity gymnastics team captain, and attends the University of Northwestern-St. Paul for PSEO. She has attended PACT since kindergarten and is the last of five Fager children to attend since 2004.
