The PACT Charter School Board of Directors agrees to uphold the mission of PACT to partner as parents, students, and staff to develop students of character and academic excellence. The Board provides overall direction for PACT's development and growth, evaluates the Superintendent of Schools, approves all significant educational and operational policies, and monitors compliance.
Membership
The Board consists of parents, teachers, and a community representative. All members are elected to the Board unless an opening occurs mid-term, in which case the Board has the authority to fill that position by appointment. The Superintendent of Schools, Principals, and Authorizer Liaison act as advisors to the Board.
Open and Closed Meetings
All School Board meetings are open to the public, except those closed as permitted by law to discuss legal or personnel issues. Meeting notices and agendas are posted on the school website before the meeting.
Listening Sessions
The School Board will host a listening session from 6:30 to 7 p.m. before each monthly regular meeting. Parents, students, and staff are encouraged to share their comments with Board members during this time.
These listening sessions offer a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to voice their concerns or support on district-wide matters. However, please note that the sessions are not intended for complaints about individual staff members, and the committee chair will strictly enforce this guideline.
To participate, please arrive early to sign up, as the total time allocated for speakers is limited to 30 minutes.
