Ski and Snowboard

Welcome to the Panthers Ski and Snowboard Club

Eligible Grades

Open to PACT students in grades 6-12.

Season Dates

January and February.

Equipment Needed

Equipment Rental

Ski/Snowboard equipment rentals are available, but you must choose the rental option when registering.

Helmets and Goggles

Ski goggles are strongly recommended. Helmets are required for all skiers and snowboarders. Helmets are available to rent at the ski areas, or they are relatively inexpensive to purchase online. Goggles are not rentable - if you want them, you must own some.  *Helmet is included with equipment rental fee.

Winter Gear

Always come prepared for being out in the elements.  Warm gloves/mittens, snow pants, and a good winter jacket are necessary.

Equipment Storage at School

A locked storage area for student equipment will be available for students. Equipment must be dropped off and stored before the start of the school day. We will have a coach bus so that equipment will be stored under the bus.

Ski or snowboard bags are required to protect your equipment during transit. Boldly label & ID your bag. The club is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

Equipment Storage at Ski Area

Students are responsible for their equipment while at the hills.

Code of Conduct

  1. Use common sense and safety when skiing and snowboarding. Unsafe behavior may get students expelled from the club.
  2. Students will behave while on the trips. School rules apply on the slopes.

Cancellation / Weather Policy

Trips may be canceled if

  • School is canceled
  • The wind chill is 15 degrees below zero (based on the National Weather Service wind-chill formula)
  • There has been freezing rain (this makes the hills very dangerous) or
  • We are in a blizzard or other conditions that make driving unsafe.

Announcements about cancellations will be made as soon as it is possible to do so.

If possible, canceled trips will be rescheduled. If not possible, refunds will be offered for the missed trip portion.

Missed Trips / Withdrawal Policy

There are no refunds for missed trips that are not canceled by the school, withdrawals, or expulsions from the club.
