Governance
The governance of a charter school involves the structure and processes through which the school is directed, managed, and held accountable. At PACT this encompasses the following:
- School Board of Directors: A group of individuals responsible for the overall direction and oversight of the school. They set policies, approve budgets, and meet the school's mission and goals.
- Authorizer: An external entity that grants the charter, monitors the school’s performance, and can renew or revoke the charter based on the school’s outcomes. PACT’s Authorizer is Volunteers of America – Minnesota.
- School Leadership: Administrators, led by the Superintendent, who manage the day-to-day operations and implement the policies set by the board.
- Compliance and Accountability: Ensuring the school meets all legal, financial, and educational standards as state laws and the authorizing body require. This includes regular reporting, audits, and assessments.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Involving parents, students, staff, and the community in the governance process to ensure transparency, responsiveness, and alignment with the community’s needs and expectations.
Effective governance at PACT is not just about efficiency and financial soundness. It's about our unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality education that meets the needs of our students, ensuring their success and our collective future.
