Nutrition and Wellness

The health and wellness of our students are a top priority! Together with parents/guardians, PACT promotes healthy living by offering healthy food plans, encouraging healthy snacks, and building physical activity into the school day. PACT also offers a variety of sports to keep students active.

Nutrition

PACT partners with Premier Kitchen to offer nutritious meal options for all students. Premier Kitchen works closely with the Minnesota Department of Education to ensure every student receives a healthy, nutritious meal they will enjoy.

Meal Ordering

Since PACT purchases meals based on pre-orders, meals are ordered and paid online a month in advance. It is essential to pre-order all meals desired, regardless of whether you pay full price or qualify for free or reduced lunches.

Menus are posted around the 10th of each month and are due by 11 p.m. on the 20th. If you need assistance with ordering, please contact the Food Service Coordinator by the 17th.

View menus below and order via the form below.

2022-2023 Meal Prices

Breakfast:
Students: $2.75 (full price) | $0 (reduced - no charge)
Adults $3.00

Lunch:
Students $3.75 (full price) | $0 (reduced - no charge)

Free and Reduced Meals

Students who qualify will receive free or reduced-price breakfasts and lunches. Families must apply each school year or have a direct certification from the state.

Applications for Educational Benefits are mailed to each family in August. A completed application determines eligibility for benefits and carries other benefits for the student and PACT. Please complete the application and return it to the school at your earliest opportunity.

Alternate Lunch

If your student forgets or misses the pre-order, an alternate lunch is available by request. The alternate lunch consists of a grain, protein, a serving of fruit and vegetable, and a carton of milk. The fee, if any, will be billed to the student’s account.

PACT does not refuse any student an alternate lunch.

Account Balances

Lunch account balances are brought forward from the previous year. Parents/guardians can view balances in Infinite Campus.

Wellness

Together with parents/guardians, PACT believes that providing a healthy environment where children learn and participate in positive wellness practices optimizes student potential for academic performance and contributes positively to their self-esteem.

Bipolar Ionization System

The air ventilation system improves air quality through an enhanced purification process by introducing ions into the airflow system. It neutralizes 99% of air particles that contain bacteria, odors, and viruses and is what hospitals use in their buildings.

According to the 2022 Climate Survey

93% of parents agreed the school building is clean and well maintained.

Eco-Friendly Cleaning Supplies

PACT’s routinely used chemicals are Green Seal Certified. This includes general cleaners, sanitizers, kitchen chemicals, toilet bowl cleaners, food cleaners, glass cleaners, and carpet cleaning/extracting chemicals. Certain disinfectants are not certified due to the nature of the chemical to kill bacteria and organisms. The packaging is also eco-friendly and since the chemicals come with a high concentration, we dilute everything to save on waste.

Eco-Friendly Hand Soap

The hand soap we use in the restrooms is biodegradable, free of all dyes, and also "Green Seal Certified." The dispensing and packaging uses eco-friendly proportioning and packaging standards.

Paper Towel Dispensers

Dispensers installed throughout the building are no longer automated and save over 300,000 feet of paper towel waste every year (plus the cost of batteries). They are ADA compliant and the paper towels are easily dispensed. The paper products are constructed with a perfect blend of pre- and post-consumer waste paper to provide quality and performance. These roll towels are 100% recycled, green, and exceed EPA guidelines for post-consumer waste paper content.
